K-DOC Signs MOU with Arab Women Investors Council... Formalizes Medical Entry into the Arab Region

K-DOC has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dedicated to facilitating the expansion of Korean medical services into Arab countries. This strategic partnership was officially announced on October 30, 2022, in Luxor, Egypt, during the '25th Arab-African Investment and International Cooperation Forum,' in collaboration with the Arab Women Investors Council (AWIC).

Under this agreement, both K-DOC and AWIC are committed to engaging in a wide array of cooperative efforts. These include healthcare business ventures, the establishment and management of local clinics, the deployment of Korean medical professionals, IT-based education for local medical staff, and the provision of medical volunteer services to underserved communities. Importantly, the Arab Women Investors Council will play a pivotal role in facilitating connections between Arab-African investors interested in healthcare projects and Korean companies through K-DOC. Additionally, AWIC will assist in identifying competent local companies for Korean healthcare enterprises looking to enter the Arab-African market and support the establishment of hospitals and educational initiatives for local healthcare professionals.

During the signing ceremony, CEO Seung-kook Cho highlighted, "The Arab region, with its burgeoning population, exhibits significant growth potential, particularly in its rapidly evolving healthcare industry. Through this agreement, we are poised to navigate the challenges posed by linguistic and cultural differences, striving diligently to introduce Korean medical services into the Arab world."

He further added, "This collaboration has already yielded promising results, including commitments for visits to Korea by high-ranking officials from the Arab region. We remain dedicated to continuing our efforts towards enhancing the global health and medical landscape through the contributions of the Korean medical industry."
