K-DOC announced on September 19th its strategic partnership with the Suwon Korea Institute For Healthy Family through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This collaboration is set to fortify the health promotion initiatives for multicultural families, building on the successful foundation laid by the 'Doctor Bus on the Go' program conducted last summer.
The MOU, signed on September 15th, underscores the commitment of K-DOC and the Suwon Korea Institute For Healthy Family to medical volunteer activities tailored to multicultural families and medically underserved communities.
This agreement facilitates a collaborative effort in the planning, promotion, and execution of medical volunteer and social contribution activities, both domestically and internationally. It aims to deliver health promotion information and education to multicultural families, support fundraising endeavors, and aid in the recruitment and training of volunteers. The healthcare content platform "Weknew" and the customized health solution provider "Deltoid" are also engaged in this initiative, contributing to the enhancement of health literacy and broadening access to medical services.
CEO Seung-kook Cho of K-DOC remarked, "The 'Visiting Doctor Bus' program has truly showcased the dedication of both organizations to our community's overlooked members. We are committed to bridging the gap for patients from multicultural families, who often find themselves marginalized due to language barriers, ensuring they receive proper care from local healthcare institutions."
Kyung-sun Yoo, Director of the Korea Institute For Healthy Family, added, "We anticipate that this agreement will invigorate the provision of continuous medical services to vulnerable populations, furthering our mission to support and uplift these communities."
