K-DOC announced through a notice that it will host its second global medical conference online on July 30, 2022, at 4 PM. This conference is designed to serve as a guide for those dreaming of global health promotion and the international activities and research of medical professionals.
The event will consist of lectures, panel talks, and a Q&A session. In the lecture segment, themed 'Medical Professionals in the Broad and Diverse Field of Global Health,' experts currently active in international organizations, academia abroad, and multinational corporations will present. Notably, Taeyeon Yang, Technical Advisor at the WHO Laos Country Office; Hyungwoo Kim, GSK Acting Country Medical Director; and Youngsoo Park, Assistant Professor of Health Sciences at Haverford College, will participate and cover a variety of topics.
The second part will proceed in a panel talk and Q&A format, moderated by Hoon-sang Lee, Director of Strategic Planning at the RIGHT Fund.
Director Lee expressed his anticipation, stating, "The role of Korean medical professionals, who possess remarkable capabilities to address the myriad problems faced by low- and middle-income countries and globally, is significant in the field of international health." He also conveyed his expectation for the forum to connect the talent pool and needs of Korean medical professionals in the international healthcare sector.
CEO Seung-guk Cho remarked, "Korean medical professionals hold various possibilities," noting the growing contemplation and aspirations regarding diverse career paths. Additionally, he announced plans for a biotech healthcare conference in early September and mentioned that offline conferences are also being planned.
