K-DOC has decided to collaborate with the International Healthcare Division of the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) to support the overseas expansion of South Korean medical professionals and advance the medical industry. On June 10, 2021, both organizations signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) at KHIDI, committing to support and cooperate in expanding South Korean medical professionals' presence abroad and advancing the medical industry.
Through this LOI, both parties will pursue support and cooperation for the exchange of knowledge and information, mutual promotion of joint initiatives, utilization and sharing of networks and advisories, and discovery of public-private partnership projects. They plan to establish a continuous cooperation network to develop concrete strategies for facilitating the overseas expansion of Korean medical professionals. Furthermore, they intend to explore mutual cooperation methods, including online and offline seminars on overseas expansion, expert connections, and local employment intermediation.
CEO Seung-kook Cho of K-DOC expressed after signing the LOI that comprehensive cooperation between the two institutions will efficiently provide practical and concrete information to Korean medical professionals aspiring to venture abroad. "Through this, we hope to activate the overseas expansion of medical professionals and contribute to the growth of the medical industry," he stated. Tae-Kyun Song, the head of the International Healthcare Division at KHIDI, affirmed, "We will do our best to ensure that cooperation with K-DOC will become a solid foundation for the overseas expansion of Korean healthcare."
